I know that Lee Junkins was a coal miner based off of a census record. I am not sure what Coal mine he worked at! (a neighboring county is Mineral county WV, he could have worked in WV as well.
I have learned that there are four coal mines nearby Kitzmiller one is names Garrett County Coal Minning Company, the other named Hamill Coal and Coke.
The fun things about these two mines is that "To get their coal to the railroad’s loading tipples, the management of the coal companies would use a cable car system, or construct a trestle high above the river"
The railroads used were West Virginia Central and Pittsburgh Railroad.
