
The Start of Kitzmiller was in 1801 when Thomas Wilson settled in the area and in 1802 built a gristmill. although the town of kitzmiller was not named until 1806.

Lee Junkins was believed to be part indian. This is the only reference I have found stating that Native Americans were in the area.
The website link above states that 1,500 populated the city for logging and mining, but as these events slowed down the population decreased today Kitzmiller is a town consisting of
